Nical Engineering was formed in 1980 as a busines to restore classic cars, with an emphasis on Austin Healeys as Nick Freeman had owned & rebuilt an Healey 3000 since 1972.Reproduction of Hardtops for the BJ7/BJ8 cars was soon commenced and this soon expanded into production of the majority of parts & complete Hardtops for all models. Nical Engineering is now the producer of most of the parts required to renovate any of the various Austin Healey Hardtops.
In the late 1980’s we became involved with rebuilding a 1926 Frazer Nash, ending with the production of a complete new Anzani engine. We can now supply most of the parts to rebuild these Anzani engines and have also reproduced the somewhat idiocyncratic clutch for Frazer Nash chain drive cars.
As the son of Reg Freeman, a well respected designer of yachts, Nick has always been about boats, so the opportunity to expand into restoration & servicing of Classic Yachts was accepted with alacrity when it was presented.
The different facets of the business ensure that the staff are never bored as no 2 days are ever the same. We relish the challanges presented and are happy to say that no jobis too large or too small.
